Four stepbrothers killed over property dispute in Lakki Marwat: Police
PESHAWAR, Sep 30 (APP):Four stepbrothers were killed, and their father sustained bullet wounds when a dispute over property turned violent in the Sulemankhel area of Lakki Marwat on Tuesday, police said.
According to police, the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Tajori Police Station, where the stepbrothers allegedly exchanged fire following a dispute over the ownership and possession of property.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Subhan, Osman Ghani, Sahibullah, and their stepbrother, Ashraf Ali. Their father, Mir Sahib Khan, also sustained bullet injuries during the firing.
A police official said that the circumstances leading to the exchange of fire were being investigated, while further details regarding the nature of the property dispute and the sequence of events were being ascertained.
Following the incident, police and local residents shifted the bodies of the deceased and the injured father to the hospital in Tajori town.
The bodies were handed over to the heirs for burial after completion of medico-legal formalities, the official said.
A local resident said that Ashraf Ali had recently passed his intermediate examination, while Osman Ghani was working as a watchman at a school.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Further action would be taken in accordance with the findings of the investigation, the official added.
