Four fuel outlets sealed in DI Khan crackdown

Three petrol pumps and an illegal diesel agency were sealed during a crackdown launched by the district administration against violations of petroleum regulations across the tehsil.

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 06 (APP):Three petrol pumps and an illegal diesel agency were sealed during a crackdown launched by the district administration against violations of petroleum regulations across the tehsil.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Dr Muhammad Hamid Siddiq on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Hikmatullah Wazir.
The officials said the action was taken against outlets found violating safety and legal requirements, operating without the mandatory Form-K, providing short measurements to customers, and selling fuel in violation of the rates notified by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
During the drive, two petrol pumps on Daraban Road, one on Zafarabad Road and an illegal diesel agency on Bypass Road were sealed.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Siddiq said the protection of public safety and the promotion of fair business practices remained the district administration’s top priority. He said the sale of petroleum products without fulfilling legal documentation, safety standards and regulatory requirements would not be tolerated.
He directed the owners of the sealed outlets to immediately comply with all legal and regulatory obligations, warning that failure to do so would result in further legal action.
The district administration also urged citizens to purchase fuel only from licensed petrol pumps and report any illegal petrol or diesel outlets, short measurements or violations of OGRA’s notified prices so that prompt legal action could be taken against those responsible.
