PESHAWAR, Jun 15 (APP):A young father lost his life while rescuing his five-year-old son from drowning in the Indus River in Pontia village, Tehsil Topi, Swabi district on Monday.
According to police report, Farhan, son of Umar Hayat, jumped into the river after noticing that his young son was in danger of drowning. Although the father succeeded in saving the child but he himself failed to make it back to safety and drowned in the process.
Local residents immediately launched a search operation and after extensive efforts, recovered Farhan’s body from the river.
The heartbreaking incident has left the entire community in mourning. Farhan’s selfless act of courage and sacrifice to save his son has been widely praised, with many describing it as a powerful example of a father’s unconditional love and devotion.
