Elderly Sikh couple killed in Mardan Gurdwara firing

PESHAWAR, Jun 17 (APP):A firing incident inside a Sikh Gurdwara in Babu Mohalla, Mardan on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of two people.

According to police, 70-year-old Jagannath and his wife, who were responsible for the security and care of the Gurdwara were fatally shot during the attack.

The assailants managed to flee the scene after committing the crime.

A Rescue 1122 medical team shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for legal formalities and further investigation.

Police have launched an investigation to trace and arrest the attackers.
