DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Sep 17 (APP):The Dera police on Thursday launched a plantation drive across the district, with District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed planting a sapling at Ijaz Shaheed Police Lines to mark the start of the campaign.
As part of the drive, all divisional SPs, including SP Paharpur Iqbal Khan Baloch and SP City Jalil Imran Ghazlai, along with DSPs and SHOs, planted saplings at their respective offices and police stations.
Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said plantation played an important role in creating a greener and healthier environment. He said the district police would continue the campaign in a sustained manner to promote clean and green surroundings.
He said the police were committed to making all its facilities, including police lines, offices and police stations, green and environmental friendly.
