DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 24 (APP):City circle police in have arrested three alleged members of a theft and robbery gang and recovered eight motorcycles, a rickshaw, weapons, mobile phones and cash from their possession.
According to a police spokesman, the operation was carried out on the directives of DPO Dera Ismail Khan Ziauddin Ahmed under the supervision of DSP City Division Syed Sagheer Shah Gilani and led by Cantt Police Station SHO Abdul Ghaffar Khan.
The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Arsalan, son of Inayatullah, a resident of Mohalla Alam Sher; Mujahid, son of Khan Mir, a resident of Pezu; and Muhammad Shafiq, son of Muhammad Ramzan, belonging to the Gundapur community.
Police said they recovered eight motorcycles, including four Honda 125s and four CD 70s, one rickshaw, one battery, two pistols, three mobile phones and Rs. 130,000 allegedly earned through the sale of stolen property.
The suspects were taken into custody and further investigation is underway to determine their alleged involvement in other theft and robbery cases.
DPO Ziauddin Ahmed appreciated DSP City Division Syed Sagheer Shah Gilani and his team for the successful action.
