Deputy Speaker distributes Roshan cards among widows, orphans
PESHAWAR, Jun 04 (APP): Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Suryia Bibi on Thursday distributed ‘Roshan Mustaqbil Card’ and ‘Roshan Sahara Card’ among needy and deserving children and widows of Upper Chitral.
Addressing the distribution ceremony, organized by Department of Zakat and Ushr Upper Chitral as a Chief Guest, she said provincial government is incessantly working for welfare of marginalized segments of society. Chairman District Zakat Committee, officials of Ushr department and local elders were present on the occasion.
She said that these cards are a ray of hope for deserving families as through this channel orphans and widows are being provided assistance and help in a respectable way.
She said that this program would continue and its ambit would be further extended to other union councils of Chitral gradually. She also reiterated commitment to resolve problems faced by people belonging to ignored and deprived segments of society.
