KOHAT, Apr 15 (APP):The deputy commissioner, Kohat has reviewed progress in the ongoing anti-polio campaign, calling for greater public cooperation to ensure its success.
Chairing a meeting on the second day of the drive, the official was joined by the district police officer, senior members of the local administration, and health department representatives.
The meeting assessed the campaign’s progress, with instructions issued to step up efforts in the coming days.
The deputy commissioner stressed that eradicating polio required a coordinated approach, urging all departments to maintain close collaboration with field teams.
Appealing directly to parents, he encouraged them to ensure their children receive polio drops to guard against lifelong disability.
He also underlined the need for communities to support vaccination teams so the virus could be eliminated from the district.
