DC inspects Nawan Shehr drainage, orders removal of encroachments
ABBOTTABAD, Jul 30 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Sarmad Saleem Akram on Wednesday visited Nawan Shehr Township to inspect encroachments on natural water channels and review the ongoing drain-cleaning operation.
During the visit, Additional Assistant Commissioner Galiyat Muhammad Tariq, along with officials from the Urban Area Development Authority, the Irrigation Department, and the Revenue Department, accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
Inspecting the desilting work, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Revenue Department to immediately identify encroachments in accordance with official land records and ensure prompt action for their removal.
He also instructed the relevant departments to complete the cleaning of drains without delay and remove all obstructions affecting the natural flow of water.
Sarmad Saleem Akram emphasized that all concerned departments should work in close coordination to improve public service delivery, strengthen the sanitation system, and ensure the permanent removal of encroachments for the benefit of residents.
