Commissioner Hazara calls for quality development, enhanced tourist facilities in Galiyat

Commissioner Hazara Shahidullah Khan on Thursday was briefed on the performance of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), its ongoing development projects, future planning, tourism promotion initiatives, and the administrative challenges facing the Authority.

ABBOTTABAD, Jul 30 (APP):Commissioner Hazara Shahidullah Khan on Thursday was briefed on the performance of the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA), its ongoing development projects, future planning, tourism promotion initiatives, and the administrative challenges facing the Authority.
Director General GDA, Muhammad Fawad informed the Commissioner that several development initiatives are underway to improve tourism infrastructure, enhance public facilities, protect the natural environment, and promote sustainable tourism across Galiyat. He also highlighted the Authority’s key administrative and developmental challenges.
The Commissioner assured the GDA of his full support and emphasized the need for close coordination among all relevant departments to accelerate Galiyat’s development, improve the welfare of the local population, and strengthen the region’s tourism sector.
He directed the Authority to ensure that all development initiatives remain focused on public convenience, transparency, quality infrastructure, and the provision of better facilities for tourists to further establish Galiyat as a model tourist destination.
The briefing was attended by Secretary to the Commissioner Dr. Shabbir Ahmed Akash, Assistant to the Commissioner (Political/Development) Jehanzaib, Assistant to the Commissioner (Revenue/GA) Aimen Wali Khan, Deputy Director Administration Noor-ul-Haq, Assistant Director BCA Farrukh Khan Jadun, Assistant Director Technical Arsalan, and the Assistant Director Tourism.
