CM’s aide review performance of KP food authority

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan  on Friday chaired a performance review meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFS&HFA).

PESHAWAR, Jul 17 (APP): Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Food Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan  on Friday chaired a performance review meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFS&HFA).
The meeting was attended by Director General KP Food Authority Kashif Iqbal Jilani, Director Operations Muhammad Yousaf, Director Administration Amir Hassan and other senior officials.
Meeting reviewed ongoing enforcement campaigns, reform initiatives, newly introduced applications under Management Information System (MIS) and the province wide special milk inspection drive.
Director General Food Authority briefed the meeting on overall performance, ongoing special campaigns, digital reforms and future roadmap aimed at strengthening food safety regulations across the province.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Israr Khan said the provincial government was fully committed to ensuring availability of safe, hygienic and adulteration free food for the people.
He said the KP food authority was carrying out daily inspections, sampling and enforcement operations across the province to eliminate elements involved in food adulteration and to safeguard public health.
CM aide directed field officers to further strengthen surveillance of milk, ghee and cooking oil stressing that enforcement teams should identify the sources of substandard products and also seize vehicles involved in their transportation.
