CM KP condemns Lakki Marwat blast, seeks report from IGP

Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Friday took strict notice of the explosion near a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat and strongly condemned the incident.

PESHAWAR, Mar 13 (APP): Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Friday took strict notice of the explosion near a police vehicle in Lakki Marwat and strongly condemned the incident.

The CM directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to submit a detailed report of the incident.

Expressing grief over the loss of precious lives, the CM said the martyrdom of seven policemen, including a Station House Officer (SHO), in the blast was deeply tragic.

He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyred personnel and said the provincial government stood in complete solidarity with the bereaved families.

Afridi said such cowardly acts of terrorism could not undermine the resolve of the government and security institutions, adding that efforts to eliminate terrorism would continue.

He also prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and patience and strength for the bereaved families.
