Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi on Tuesday convened a jirga of tribal parliamentarians at the Chief Minister’s House to discuss the law and order situation.

PESHAWAR, Apr 28 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi on Tuesday convened a jirga of tribal parliamentarians at the Chief Minister’s House to discuss the law and order situation.

The jirga, to be held tonight, will deliberate on the law and order situation and broader security matters, he said.

The chief minister emphasized that establishing lasting peace is imperative, adding that any form of unrest is unacceptable and the province cannot afford further instability.

He said issues faced by affected areas and measures for public protection would also be reviewed during the jirga.
