AUP, Seed Rise KP Fund sign MoU to promote student innovation

The Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) and Seed Rise KP Fund on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration in student innovation, commercialization of final-year projects, and fostering stronger links between academic research and entrepreneurship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PESHAWAR, Jun 09 (APP):The Agriculture University Peshawar (AUP) and Seed Rise KP Fund on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration in student innovation, commercialization of final-year projects, and fostering stronger links between academic research and entrepreneurship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The agreement establishes a broad framework for cooperation between the two institutions to identify, encourage, and support promising student ideas, technologies, and research outcomes with the potential to evolve into future business ventures and enterprises in the province.
The partnership will focus on research, capacity-building, and non-commercial initiatives designed to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the university by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sarzamin Khan and Director ORIC Prof Dr Muhammad Arif. Representing Seed Rise KP were Project Leader Amjad Ali Arbab and Senior Associate Shehbaz.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Sarzamin Khan said the agreement would yield far-reaching benefits by creating opportunities for students to transform innovative ideas into viable enterprises.
He noted that graduates of the university have been playing a significant role in the development of agriculture, livestock, and other sectors at provincial, national, and international levels.
Among those present at the signing ceremony were Prof Dr Humayun Khan, Prof Dr Iqbal Munir, Dr Masood Ahmad, and Majid Khan.
