ABBOTTABAD, Jun 01 (APP): Despite Eid-ul-Adha holidays, Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH) continued to provide uninterrupted medical services to patients, maintaining full operational capacity across all major departments.
According to hospital data released here Monday, a total of 8,441 patients were examined during the Eid holidays, while 9,976 laboratory tests were conducted. In addition, 143 newborns were delivered during the same period, highlighting the round-the-clock functioning of the hospital’s maternal and child health services.
The hospital emergency department dealt with a significant number of critical cases, including road traffic accidents, firearm injuries, and other trauma-related emergencies. A total of 630 trauma patients received immediate treatment and care during the holidays.
All major departments, including Emergency, Medicine, Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatrics, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Ophthalmology, Chest Medicine and Gastroenterology remained fully operational throughout the Eid period.
Medical teams also performed 164 successful surgeries, conducted 298 CT scans, and provided dialysis treatment to 166 patients under the supervision of specialist staff. Furthermore, 1,004 patients were admitted under the Health Sehat Program and received free medical treatment.
Hospital administration stated that a special duty roster was implemented to manage increased patient inflow during the holidays, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare services. Doctors, nurses, paramedics, and support staff worked with dedication and professionalism to handle routine and emergency cases efficiently.
