The Board of Governors (BoG) of Ayub Medical Teaching Institution (AMTI), Abbottabad, has approved a series of major reforms aimed at improving patient care, upgrading hospital infrastructure, and enhancing employee welfare.
AMTI approves major reforms to enhance healthcare services

ABBOTTABAD, Jul 19 (APP): The Board of Governors (BoG) of Ayub Medical Teaching Institution (AMTI), Abbottabad, has approved a series of major reforms aimed at improving patient care, upgrading hospital infrastructure, and enhancing employee welfare.
The decisions were taken during a meeting chaired by BoG Chairman Prof. Dr. Abid Jamil.
The Board approved the PC-1 for a state-of-the-art Emergency Building, funds for the phased renovation of Ayub Teaching Hospital, revised pay scales with salary increases for employees, and new service structures for doctors, nurses, IT, and support staff.
The BoG also approved the establishment of a Day Care Centre for employees, recruitment of 40 additional nurses, upgradation of the Dental Section into a College of Dentistry, creation of new faculty positions in specialized medical fields, and the operationalization of modern sterilization and laundry facilities.
It further sanctioned legal action against those spreading malicious propaganda against the institution and approved the hiring of a professional media consultancy firm.
Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Abid Jamil said the decisions reflect the Board’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare, modernizing the institution, and improving employee welfare, adding that the reforms would further strengthen AMTI’s position as a leading healthcare institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
