PESHAWAR, Jun 12 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission (KPHCC) has intensified its crackdown on quack doctors across the province, inspecting 572 medical facilities within four days and sealing 99 centers for various violations.
According to a spokesperson for the Commission on Friday, inspection teams carried out operations in Peshawar, Swat, Swabi, Malakand, Mansehra, Kohat, Karak, Haripur, Charsadda, Buner, Abbottabad, Bannu and Upper and Lower Dir.
During the inspections, 99 medical centers were sealed for operating in violation of healthcare regulations, while 241 facilities were issued legal notices and directed to comply with relevant laws.
The actions were taken under the provisions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission Act 2015 and the Anti-Quackery Regulations 2022.
The Commission’s spokesperson stated that the campaign aims at ensuring the provision of safe and quality healthcare services to the public. He emphasized that illegal and unauthorized medical practices would not be tolerated and strict action against quack doctors would continue throughout the province.
The Healthcare Commission reaffirmed its commitment to protecting public health and maintaining professional healthcare standards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
