Indian repression in IIOJK continues unabated

ISLAMABAD, Oct 07 (APP):Indian repression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) continued unabated, with killings, raids, arbitrary detentions, torture and destruction of property reported as recurring features of the situation in the region.
According to a All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) statement, 96,507 Kashmiris have reportedly been killed since January 1989, while systematic repression has created a climate of fear and insecurity across IIOJK.
The statement said alleged human rights violations could not be allowed to continue with impunity, stressing that impunity must not become a license for abuses.
It called on the international community to hold India accountable for alleged violations of international human rights law and ensure protection of the fundamental rights of the people of Kashmir.
The statement also urged the world to act for justice and accountability over alleged abuses in IIOJK.
