ISLAMABAD, Mar 5 (APP):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has called for peaceful protests across Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Friday to condemn the aggression against Iran and to express strong solidarity with the people of Iran in the face of escalating tensions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, urged Kashmiris to take to the streets after Friday prayers to register peaceful protest.
He stressed the need for unity in raising voices against rising regional tensions, the anti-Muslim agendas of Modi and Netanyahu, and the continued curbs imposed by the BJP-led regime in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The APHC also condemned what it described as media censorship by the BJP government in the occupied territory and called for the restoration of press freedom and democratic rights.
The spokesman criticized the international community’s silence over the US-Israel aggression against Iran as well as India’s policies in Kashmir, terming these actions a form of state terrorism.
Reiterating its long-standing stance, the APHC denounced India’s curfew-like restrictions, use of force, and frequent internet shutdowns in the occupied territory.
It urged the United Nations and other international organizations to take notice of the situation and hold India accountable for what it described as crimes against humanity in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
