Ex SCBA President commends AJKHC verdict  restoring Third Party Act

MIRPUR (AJK), Oct 30 (APP):Former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Advocate Javaid Najam-us-Saqib, has lauded the single-judge verdict of the AJK High Court restoring the Third Party Act, terming it a landmark decision in favour of merit and transparency.
Talking to APP AJK  Correspondent here on Thursday, Saqib said the judgment had reaffirmed the constitutional principles of equality, fairness, and justice, ensuring that public employment in AJK rests on competence and integrity rather than favour or political influence.
The AJK legal community leader noted that the revival of the Third Party recruitment mechanism would strengthen administrative performance, eliminate undue interference, and restore public confidence in state institutions.
“This decision will go a long way in ensuring that recruitment to non-gazetted posts is conducted strictly on merit,” he added.
Saqib commended the learned single judge for demonstrating judicial prudence and courage, saying the verdict had revived public faith in the independence of the judiciary. “The decision is a step forward toward establishing a transparent, rule-based, and accountable governance system in Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” he remarked.
He further observed that the judgment had been widely welcomed on social and digital platforms, reflecting the people’s aspiration for a fair and merit-driven administrative structure. “The AJK High Court has once again proven that justice, when rendered with integrity, becomes the strongest pillar of public trust,” Saqib concluded.
