APHC terms martyrdom of Khamenei, strikes on Iran blatant aggression

ISLAMABAD, Mar 2 (APP):The All Parties Hurriyet Conference has condemned the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, and the killing of about 180 schoolboys in joint US-Israel missile airstrikes in Iran.
APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and described the killing of the Supreme Leader as “immoral, unlawful, utterly reprehensible, and a grave assault on international law and global stability.”
The statement said the strikes on Iran were against the principles of the United Nations Charter and the fundamental norms governing international relations.
Expressing profound anguish over the assassination, he termed it a grave and destabilizing act with serious implications for regional and global peace.
Condemning the curfew-like restrictions imposed by the BJP regime in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the APHC said the huge presence of Indian forces has placed the lives of Kashmiris under a constant state of siege for more than seven decades.
The spokesman said the BJP regime and the Indian military establishment were subjecting Kashmiris to the worst kind of human rights violations for demanding their right to self-determination. However, he reiterated the Kashmiri people’s resolve to continue their struggle against Indian illegal occupation despite all odds.
The spokesman said India had snatched natural resources and basic freedoms from the Kashmiri people, who have long been demanding their political rights, including their birthright to self-determination.
He added that Indian forces personnel, enjoying unbridled powers under draconian laws, were committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the occupied territory with impunity.
He further said India was constantly trying to mislead the world about the ground situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The international community, he maintained, is legally and morally bound to stop the unprecedented Indian repression in IIOJK and compel New Delhi to respect the sentiments of the Kashmiri people and grant them their right to self-determination.
The spokesman pointed out that unless the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions, peace and stability cannot be established in the region, nor can Pakistan-India relations improve on a sustainable basis.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat leaders Fayaz Hussain Jafri and Syed Sibt Shabbir Qummi in their statements have also condemned the US-Israel strikes on Iran, terming them “naked aggression”. They paid tribute to Iran’s martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The leaders said the attack, carried out during Ramazan, exposed US-Israel hostility towards Islam and Muslims, and that Iran’s stance on Palestine and Kashmir had made it a target. The leaders asserted that the attack would strengthen resistance and ultimately lead to the defeat of the aggressors.
In Islamabad, former APHC-AJK convener Muhammad Farooq Rehmanisaid the strikes on Iran would destabilize the Middle East and harm regional peace and progress.
He warned that war is no solution and will cause human suffering, inflation, and price hikes. Rehmani criticized India’s PM Modi’s Israel visit and Afghan Taliban’s attacks on Pakistan, suggesting a conspiracy behind these events. He urged Muslim heads of state to dialogue and resolve differences peacefully.
