APHC demands int’l probe into cases against Yasin Malik

ISLAMABAD, Sep 4 (APP):The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the Indian state and its judiciary for the manner in which they are proceeding against illegally jailed Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, and has called for an international investigation into the cases registered against him.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Yasin Malik, who has been incarcerated in Tihar Jail since 2019, has been made to face fresh prosecution 36 years after the alleged incident, which exposes the political motives behind the case.
He said that Yasin Malik was arrested in 1990 and faced nearly two dozen cases, yet no murder charge was registered against him at the time. His being named an accused 36 years later raises serious questions about the timing, credibility, and purpose of the prosecution.
