MIRPUR (AJK), Jun 12 (APP):Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Minister for Energy, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, while appreciating the performance of the state Electricity Department for ensuring uninterrupted power supply on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and for immediately restoring power wherever it was damaged has facilitated Chief Engineer Electricity Muhammad Nazir Mughal and all other staffers for ensuring uninterrupted power supply in the intense heat wave during the Eid holidays.
He was chairing a high-level meeting of the State Electricity Department (South) here.
Chief Engineer Electricity Muhammad Nazir Mughal, Director Sardar Mubashir Sarfaraz, XEN Electricity Shaukat Sarfaraz Abbasi and others attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the minister directed the officers of the State Electricity Department to try to remove the transformer breakdown or other technical malfunctions immediately to facilitate the people.
Arshad said that the problem of low voltage in Khari Sharif would be resolved with the early completion of the Peer Shah Ghazi feeder. The system could be improved by upgrading the system, and all necessary steps had been taken in the reorganization of the Electricity Department, he added.
“Serving the people is our manifesto and we are providing all possible relief to the people, matching the latest era”, the minister said and added that the upcoming AJK budget would be people-friendly.
Chaudhry Qamar-ur-Rehman of Sonkia, Section Officer, along with PRO Dr. Maroof Hussain, Muhammad Ishaq Chaudhry, Chaudhry Khalil Ahmed, Syed Zahid Hussain Shah, Nasir Akram, Amanat Hussain Janjua and other concerned officers were also present on this occasion.
