MIRPUR ( AJK), Dec 16 (APP):Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has said that public service remained at the heart of his politics and personal identity.
Addressing a massive gathering at Paniola in the state’s metropolis, the prime minister said that the Pakistan Peoples Party – led government was a true representative government of the people and was fully committed to resolving public issues in minimum possible time frame.
He said that the present government was not the government of individual MLAs but of the Pakistan Peoples Party.
“The doors of the PM House in Muzaffarabad have been opened to the public, and the ministers and the bureaucracy have been directed to ensure that no citizen returns disappointed from government offices”, he added.
The prime minister announced a slew of development schemes for the area including establishment of a sub-division in Paniola, the creation of a town committee in Thorar, the permanent monthly posting of a civil judge in Datot, and the complete restoration of the Thorar water supply scheme.
He said that the government would bear all expenses of the Thorar water supply.
He also announced the construction of a boundary wall for Thorar Hospital, issued immediate orders for the Tamrota Grid Station, and announced the construction of the Thorar–Rawalakot–Mang Road, Mori Farman Shah Bridge (through local government), Arnaila–Sarmila Bridge, Mujahidabad Road, and the establishment of a degree college in Datot.
Drawing a contrast with previous government, he said that the previous two-and-a-half-year government lacked public support, while the present government enjoyed full support within and outside the parliament.
Regarding the youth employment , the PM assured that all announcements, made for the area by Adviser for Sports, Youth and Culture, Ahmed Saghir, would be fully implemented.
Describing unemployment as a major challenge for the government, he said concrete measures were being taken to address it.
Referring to growing public trust, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said that the public had full confidence in its representatives.
He said that public service had been given priority. He made it clear that the battle for public rights would henceforth be fought in parliament, not on the streets.
