MIRPUR, May 17 (APP):A grand car rally was held in Mirpur, Azad Jammu Kashmir on Saturday, to celebrate the success of the Pakistan Army’s Operation Banyan Al-Marsoos. Thousands of vehicles participated in the rally, which was supported by the government of Pakistan and the AJK government. The rally aimed to express solidarity and appreciation for the armed forces’ victory against India.
The rally saw massive participation from various sectors of society, including ministers, former ministers, administrative officers, and civil society members. Youths performed “Bhangra” at the Quaid-e-Azam International Cricket Stadium Mirpur, while horse riders performed a horse dance at Mangla Bridge. The participants raised slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Armed Forces of Pakistan Zindabad” as they made their way from Mirpur to Mangla Cantonment.
The rally participants showed their love and affection for the armed forces by presenting bouquets of flowers to army officers, including Brigadier Ahmed Madani, and soldiers. Many participants hugged and kissed the hands of the soldiers, marking their emotional commitment to the Pakistan Army. A victory cake was cut to commemorate the day-long celebration of ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’.
