ISLAMABAD, Oct 19 (APP):Government will take every possible measure to protect and conserve nature and its resources being the custodian of the natural wealth.
In a statement, Adviser to the Prime Minister Malik Amin Aslam Khan said that Pakistan is blessed with the multiple varieties of wildlife; flora and fauna, but unfortunately due to our indifferent attitude, a lot of species are on the verge of extinction.
He said, “We are going to initiate ‘Recharge Pakistan project’ to store floodwater in our wetland sites”.
Malik Amin Aslam further said that safeguarding and protecting nature is our shared goal. Therefore its better to work in collaboration with other institutions to build synergies for achieving desired objectives.
He said that provision of clean environment to the people is imperative, so that they are devising comprehensive, short, medium and long-term plan for rescuing environment from further degradation.
