Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan strengthen cooperation in water, energy sector

TASHKENT, Sept 08 (UzA/APP) : A working meeting was held with the participation of the ministers of energy and water management of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. The parties discussed issues related to ensuring the stable operation of the water and energy system during the autumn and winter periods, the efficient use of available resources, and strengthening cooperation.
They emphasized the importance of jointly addressing current challenges related to water resource management and energy supply. It was noted that close interaction among the three countries in the water and energy sector will contribute to sustainable development and improve the well-being of the region’s population. An agreement was reached to hold regular meetings of the permanent working group, and the relevant protocols were signed.
