Uzbekistan expands volume, geography of exports

The growth in export volumes indicates an increase in Uzbekistan’s production potential. According to the National Statistics Committee, in January 2026, the volume of exports in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.7 billion. Compared with the same period last year, this indicator rose 26.7 percent, indicating increased activity in the country’s foreign markets.

TASHKENT, March 16 (UzA/APP) : The growth in export volumes indicates an increase in Uzbekistan’s production potential. According to the National Statistics Committee, in January 2026, the volume of exports in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.7 billion. Compared with the same period last year, this indicator rose 26.7 percent, indicating increased activity in the country’s foreign markets.
According to the analysis, Uzbekistan’s products are increasingly entering European and Middle Eastern markets. Russia should be singled out among the countries that account for the largest part of Uzbekistan’s exports. Products worth $325.8 million were exported to this country.
In addition, through mutually beneficial cooperation with China, the export volume amounted to $178.1 million. Neighboring countries also accounted for significant export volumes: $136.7 million to Afghanistan, $81.6 million to Kazakhstan, $46.5 million to Kyrgyzstan, and $45.7 million to Tajikistan.
Another important area is the development of export relations between Uzbekistan and European and Middle Eastern countries. Products worth $103.6 million were exported to France, and $84.3 million to Türkiye.
Cooperation with the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America deserves special attention. In particular, within the framework of cooperation with the UAE, products worth $41.4 million were exported, and $32.1 million to the United States.
