Syrian Chambers of Commerce discuss enhancing cooperation with Turkish TÜSİAD

DAMASCUS, April 7 (SANA/APP) : The Director-General of the Syrian Federation of Chambers of Commerce , Amer al-Homsi, held talks with a delegation from the General Assembly of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), headed by its Ankara representative Baris Orhan, ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, held on Monday, both sides reviewed key promising sectors for investment in Syria, as well as opportunities to benefit from Turkish expertise in real estate development, industrial zone organization, investment promotion, and the simplification of procedures for investors.
The two sides highlighted the importance of enhancing private sector engagement and facilitating a more conducive investment environment. The meeting comes within the broader efforts of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce Federation to expand economic partnerships with friendly countries and to enhance the role of the private sector in supporting the national economy and opening new avenues for joint investment.
Founded in 1971, TÜSİAD is one of Turkey’s largest and most prominent independent business organizations, representing major industrial and service companies and playing a key role in the Turkish economy through promoting market democracy and sustainability. Its members represent a significant share of Turkey’s foreign trade and tax revenues.
