Students awarded certificates for Pakistan-Sri Lanka friendship anthem

COLOMBO, June 22 (APP): Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri
Lanka on Wednesday acknowledged the services of students of Pakistan Culture Education and Urdu Language Center for developing, composing and presenting the first ever Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan in Sri Lanka Maj Gen (Retd) Syed Shakeel Hussain presented the Certificates of merit to the students for their meritorious service for the Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.

The premier of the Anthem praising Pakistan Sri Lanka enduring
friendship was launched in Urdu, Sinhala and Tamil languages for the
first time in January 2016 in the presence of Prime Minister of
Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil
Wickramasinghe in Colombo.

The veteran Sri Lankan broadcaster, media consultant and Chairman Kashmir Study Forum Sri Lanka Mohamed Jamaludeen had written and composed the Pakistan Sri Lanka friendship Anthem.
