Riyadh, Nov 25 (SPA/APP): The seventh session of the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committee concluded Monday in Riyadh, marking an important step towards strengthening bilateral collaboration between the Kingdom and the Portuguese Republic in various fields.
The meeting was chaired on the Saudi side by Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Alibrahim and on the Portuguese side by Minister of Economy and of Territorial Cohesion of the Portuguese Republic Manuel Castro Almeida.
The meeting was attended by several representatives from government entities and the private sector. The two-day visit included bilateral meetings, joint government sessions, as well as the Saudi-Portuguese Business and Investment Forum held as part of the committee’s activities, which facilitated discussions on promising investment opportunities and enhancing economic partnerships between the two countries.
“The success of this committee will be measured not only by the agreements we sign but by the projects we implement, the investments we unlock, and the knowledge we exchange,” Alibrahim confirmed in his opening remarks at the committee meeting.
In his opening speech during the Saudi-Portuguese Business and Investment Forum, Alibrahim invited participating companies to view Saudi Arabia not just as a market but as a launchpad for innovation, emphasizing that the economic partnership between the two countries represents an opportunity for growth and expansion.
As part of the seventh session, the economy ministers signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of economic cooperation as a step toward exchanging expertise and strengthening bilateral economic collaboration between the two countries.
