LAHORE, Jun 07 (APP): The Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday held a telephone conversation with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar and conveyed heartfelt Eid ul Adha greetings to the Amir and the brotherly people of Qatar.
During the cordial exchange,Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s active diplomatic efforts in helping to de-escalate recent tensions between Pakistan and India.
He particularly commended the personal role of His Highness the Amir,including his timely telephone call at the peak of the crisis,as well as the contributions made by the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
The two leaders also reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with a focus on enhancing trade and investment ties for mutual benefit.
His highness the Amir warmly reciprocated the Prime Minister’s Eid greetings and extended best wishes for the people of Pakistan.
Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact and to meet at the earliest possible opportunity to further solidify the growing partnership between their countries.
