TASHKENT, Sept 03 (UzA/APP) :
A meeting took place in Beijing between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Leader of Russia warmly congratulated the Head of State and the multinational people of Uzbekistan on Independence Day, wishing them well-being, sustainable development, and prosperity.
Issues of expansion and strengthening of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia were considered in the context of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during previous high-level contacts.
The importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the momentum of trade, economic, and investment cooperation was emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to accelerating the preparation and implementation of projects in priority sectors of the economy, as well as stimulating cooperative ties between regions, including within the framework of established joint industrial parks.
With deep satisfaction, the fruitful humanitarian cooperation was noted, primarily in the fields of culture, art, science, and education. The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also exchanged views on international agenda issues.
