PM wishes good health to Japan’s former premier hit by gunshot

ISLAMABAD, July 8 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday expressed deep shock over the reports of an attack on former Japanese premier Shinzo Abe.

He wished Abe an early recover and best of health after the former prime minister was hit by gunshots.

“We send our prayers and best wishes for his early recovery and good health,” he tweeted. “Our thoughts are with him, his family, and the people of Japan”.

According to BBC, Abe was shot at twice while he was giving a speech, causing him to fall to the ground. His attacker has been arrested.

Ex-Tokyo governor Yoichi Masuzoe said in a tweet that the 67-year-old Mr Abe was in a state of cardiopulmonary arrest.
