PM, Qatari Amir reaffirm to further strengthen deep-rooted fraternal ties

LONDON, Feb 17 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Tuesday, reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Pakistan and Qatar.

The prime minister held a telephone conversation with the Qatari amir.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments and reaffirmed their resolve to continue working together closely to promote peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond.

“During their warm and cordial conversation, the two leaders extended heartiest felicitations to each other on the blessed occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan and prayed for peace and tranquility of the Ummah,” PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.

The prime minister conveyed his deep appreciation for Qatar’s diplomatic efforts, under the patronage of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, to foster peace and reconciliation in the Middle East and other parts of the world.

Separately, on X account, the prime minister posted “Had a most warm and cordial telephone conversation this afternoon with my dear brother HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. We exchanged felicitations on the blessed occasion of holy Ramadan and prayed for peace, unity and tranquility of the Ummah.”

He further said that they reaffirmed their shared resolve to further strengthen the deep-rooted, fraternal ties between Pakistan and Qatar.

“I also conveyed my deep appreciation for Qatar’s diplomatic efforts under His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s sagacious leadership to advance peace and reconciliation in the Middle East and beyond,” he added.
