PM, President Lukashenko reaffirm to elevate Pak-Belarus long-standing ties to new heights

ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko, Tuesday, reaffirmed their shared commitment and resolve to elevate the long-standing friendly relations between Pakistan and Belarus to new heights.
The prime minister met with President Aleksandr Lukashenko, on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
“The two leaders expressed satisfaction at the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Belarus bilateral relations and the robust cooperation across political, trade, economic, defence, and cultural fields,” PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.

While recalling President Lukashenko’s historic visit to Pakistan in November 2024, followed by the prime minister’s memorable visit to Belarus in April 2025, the two leaders agreed to further enhance bilateral cooperation in trade, industry, agriculture, IT and vocational training as priority sectors.

As the incoming Chair of the SCO Council of Heads of State, the prime minister extended a warm and cordial invitation to the President of Belarus to undertake a visit to Pakistan next year.
