Plants and Flowers festival opens in Qatif

Qatif, Apr 1 (SPA/APP): The inaugural world of plants and flowers festival opened in Qatif Governorate, bringing together government agencies, private-sector entities, and families working in the cottage industry.
The festival encourages community members to cultivate their home gardens and make use of available spaces for planting flowers and greenery, helping to enhance the urban landscape and promote environmental sustainability. It also aims to support tourism and recreation in the governorate, with a particular focus on boosting agricultural and ecotourism.
In addition, the festival provides direct engagement with the agricultural sector through educational booths and guidance sessions led by specialists. Visitors can explore modern urban farming techniques and sustainable irrigation systems, promoting efficient use of natural resources and contributing to food security.
The festival runs until Saturday and features more than 60 diverse booths, an art studio for children, an interactive theater, and competitions designed especially for young participants.
