ISLAMABAD, Aug 5 (APP):The Embassy of Pakistan in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, organized an event to commemorate “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir” on 5 August 2026, in which participants paid tribute to the Kashmiri people’s courage, resilience and commitment to their just struggle for the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.
The event was attended by members of Pakistani diaspora, students, Uzbek guests, and officials of the Embassy including Ambassador Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, said a press release received here on Wednesday.

In his address to the gathering, Ambassador reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK ). He reiterated that Pakistan would continue its moral, political and diplomatic support for the people of IIOJK until the resolution of the dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions.
On the occasion, speakers shed light on India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, which sought to alter the internationally recognized disputed status of Jammu and Kashmir in violation of international law and the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions.

A documentary highlighting the historical background of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and its legal and humanitarian implications in the wake of India’s unilateral actions of 5 August 2019, was also screened.
