ULAANBAATAR (Mongolia), Jul 16 (APP): Pakistan and Mongolia have decided to explore new avenues of cooperation in the economic, commercial, cultural and educational fields.

It was agreed in a meeting between Adviser to the Prime
Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and Minister for
Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Purevsuren held here on the
fringes of 11th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit.

Sartaj said both countries could explore cooperation in
the areas of agriculture and livestock, health, science and
technology and human resource development through specialized training programmes.

Both sides also agreed to enhance people-to-people
contacts as well as academic and scholarly interaction between the two countries.

It was further agreed to enhance mutual cooperation
between the two countries at multilateral fora.

Recognizing the importance of regional connectivity for
economic benefits Sartaj Aziz and Purevsuren stressed the need to promote trans-boundary energy and infrastructure projects.

While reviewing the regional developments, they
underscored the importance of cooperative and collaborative
approaches for promoting peace and stability.

The Adviser thanked the Mongolian Foreign Minister for
the warm welcome and hospitality extended to Pakistan’s
delegation and commended excellent arrangements made for the ASEM Summit.
