Pak Navy concludes 8th successful Command of Multinational Combined Task Force CTF-150

ISLAMABAD, Dec 9 (APP): Pakistan Navy handed over Command of Combined Maritime Task Forces (CMF) Combined Task Force-150 to Royal Australian Navy at an impressive ceremony held at HQ US NAVCENT, Bahrain.
Rear Admiral Moazzam Ilyas handed over the command of CTF-150 to Royal Australian Navy’s CCTF-150, Commodore Jaimie C F Hatcher. The Handing Over ceremony was graced by Vice Admiral Donnegan,Commander US Naval Forces Central Command, Commander Combined Maritime Forces (CCMF), according to a PN statement issued here.

Rear Admiral Moazzam Ilyas, while addressing the audience, highlighted that relations between Pakistan Navy and coalition Navies continue to gain strength due to Pakistan Navy’s focused commitments in support of collaborative Maritime Security in the region and Pakistan’s resolve to thwart illicit activities at sea.

Commander Combined Maritime Forces (CCMF), Vice Admiral Donnegan lauded the outgoing Pakistan Navy CCTF-150 and his team for dedicated efforts to achieve objectives of CTF-150 during their tenure of Command.

Combined Task Force-150 (CTF-150); a multinational coalition, is one of three task forces being operated by Combined Maritime Forces (CMF). Its mission is to promote Maritime Security in order to counter terrorist acts and related illegal activities, perpetrated by the terrorists networks.

Pakistan Navy’s successful completion of eighth command of CTF-150 is a manifestation of the trust and respect enjoyed among the coalition partners. Over the years, Pakistan Navy has not only served the maritime interests of Pakistan, but has also actively participated in
international coalition operations.
