MANILA, Oct. 31 (Xinhua/APP): A 65-year-old driver was killed and five others were injured after their vehicle fell into a ravine in Laguna province, south of Manila, police said on Friday.
In a report, police said the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which skidded on a slippery stretch of the highway while navigating a curve in Cavinti town.
Police said the car, carrying six people, including the driver, veered off the highway and plunged into a ravine.
The five passengers, including two elderly individuals and an 11-year-old boy, suffered injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital, but the driver was declared dead on arrival.
