Baku, Jul 15 (AZERTACAPP): “Maintaining the right balance between energy security and the energy transition is one of the key priorities of Azerbaijan’s energy policy,” said Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov as he addressed the first meeting held under the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation.
The minister noted that the global energy transition should not be viewed as the replacement of one energy source with another. Rather, it should be implemented through a policy that ensures the balanced development of all types of energy.
“President Ilham Aliyev’s approach to maintaining the right balance between energy security and the energy transition is particularly relevant in this regard. Alongside ensuring energy security, Azerbaijan is consistently pursuing a policy of increasing investments in renewable energy sources,” Parviz Shahbazov added.
