Madinah, Jun 08 (APP):Children, no matter their circumstances, remain the heartbeat and pride of their parents. These innocent, angel-like souls can never be left behind, even for a moment. When it comes to the arduous journey of Hajj, performing the rituals alongside them is both a profound test of resolve and an inspiring lesson for humanity.
A Pakistani family from Hyderabad undertook this sacred pilgrimage this year accompanied by their special-needs daughter, Fatima. Having successfully completed all the rituals of Hajj, the family has now arrived in the holy city of Madinah.Speaking to the APP with innocent charm, young Fatima expressed her joy in her gentle, halting speech: “My name is Fatima. I came to Allah’s house, and Allah’s house is very beautiful.”
Meeting an "Angel" in Madinah: A tale of resilience, patience and special child's Hajj journey
Fatima’s father, Kashif Ahmed Siddiqui, and her mother, Uzma, shared that they traveled under the Government Hajj Scheme’s long package. They expressed immense satisfaction with the official arrangements, particularly praising the accommodation, transport logistics, and the provision of authentic Pakistani meals, while extending their gratitude to the Hajj welfare staff.
Reflecting on the physical demands of the pilgrimage, Fatima’s mother noted that Hajj serves as a form of jihad for women, inherently involving intense physical exertion and walking.
“My child is special, and I could never leave her alone,” she said emotionally. “With every step, I prayed for her ease.
During the stoning ritual at Jamarat, the long walk left us exhausted, but the cooling water mists sprayed along the way completely revived us. My daughter was incredibly cooperative, and by the grace of Almighty Allah, everything concluded beautifully.”
Addressing some of the negative perceptions circulating on social media, Kashif Ahmed Siddiqui described their experience as overwhelmingly positive. He emphasized that difficulties often arise when pilgrims overlook the core lessons of patience and discipline taught during Hajj training. Adhering to the designated schedules, he noted, ensures a seamless experience.
He did, however, suggest that time management for the train service between Makkah and Muzdalifah could be further refined to provide greater comfort for elderly pilgrims, women, and special children like Fatima.
This journey stands as a moving testament that physical challenges cannot deter a devotion to the House of Allah when backed by parental dedication. Lingering in the serene atmosphere of Madinah, the family is preparing to return home, comforted by the profound belief that their angel-like daughter has been a source of immense blessings and spiritual elevation for them in both worlds.
