Leaders of Uzbekistan, Qatar discuss current issues on bilateral agenda

TASHKENT, July 08 (UzA/APP) :A telephonic conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss further strengthening of the strategic partnership and expanding the multifaceted practical cooperation between the two countries.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan highly praised the active efforts of the Emir of Qatar in ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East. The fruitful nature of the recent intensification of bilateral contacts and exchanges was noted with particular satisfaction.
The indicators of mutual trade and investment are growing dynamically, and active technical preparations and implementation of significant projects in industrial cooperation and infrastructure modernization are underway.
In this context, it was emphasized that particular attention is being given to ensuring the effectiveness of upcoming high-level events, including the first meeting of the Coordination Council chaired by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, sessions of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Business Council, and the business forum. The leaders of Uzbekistan and Qatar also reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events.
