BISHKEK, Nov 25 (Kabar/APP):Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov participated in the capsule-laying ceremony for the construction of the Altay town in Bishkek.
Altay is a large-scale residential and social complex project located on a 234-hectare site. It will comprise 1,551 five-story residential buildings, with a total of 34,004 apartments of various layouts. The total development area exceeds 1,070,000 square meters.
The project includes comprehensive social infrastructure designed to ensure comfortable living for residents. Schools, kindergartens, clinics, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, police stations, and fire and rescue centers will be built on the site. A large 50-hectare park, modern sports fields, and playgrounds will be built for recreation and leisure.
The transportation network will include nearly 86 km of internal roads, 50 km of sidewalks, and parking for 34,500 cars.
In his speech, President Sadyr Zhaparov noted that the Altay complex was designed to provide the city’s growing population with affordable and modern housing. In accordance with the state contract, 10% of the apartments, or 3,400 units, will be transferred to the state.
“We are thus continuing to make every effort to develop the capital, as well as all regions of our country, creating conditions for the well-being of our people.
“We are beginning construction of this town with the good intention of leaving a prosperous capital, Bishkek, a modern and developed city for future generations,” the head of state said.
He emphasized that this complex is the largest construction project in the region and expressed confidence that, once completed and occupied, the complex will breathe new life into the area, creating a new environment and a new culture.
“Considering that more than 200,000 of our citizens are in need of housing today, such a large-scale project is a must! Until we address the needs of our people and earn their blessing, there will be no true development. The support and devotion of our people is our greatest strength. We firmly believe that the Altai project will live up to these expectations and become a cause worthy of the people’s gratitude,” the president noted.
