Kulsoom Nawaz health condition critical :Nawaz Sharif

LONDON, Jun 20 (APP):Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here on Wednesday afternoon said the health condition of his spouse Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very critical as she was still placed on ventilator and needed prayers of the nation.
“When I came to London four-five days ago on Eid holidays, Kulsoom was in the hospital and was unconscious. Since then i was unable to talk to her”, he told a crowded Pakistani media here outside the Harley Street, the clinic where his wife was under treatment.
He said his wife was under treatment for cancer but suddenly also suffered a cardiac arrest which
further deteriorated her health and since then she was unconscious and placed on the ventilator (Life supporting machine)”.
“I feel regret that my wife is in critical condition and needs my presence and care of her but I am not
getting this opportunity”, he remarked.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was flanked by former Finance Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.
He thanked the nation for praying the good health of his wife Begum Kalsoom Nawaz during the eid prayers.
He said he was facing a difficult period of his life.
Earlier, talking to media Hussain Nawaz son of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said his mother
Begum Kulsoom Nawaz’s health condition was critical.
He said doctors had declared her as “Gravely sick and high-risk patient” while she was still
unconscious.
Hussain Nawaz , however, said “doctors feel that her vital signs are stable”.
Former Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif who was also present with Hussain Nawaz in his
brief remarks said the health condition of his sister in law Begum Kulsoom Nawaz was very critical and
requested the nation to pray for her good health.
It may be mentioned here that Begum Kalsoom Nawaz suffered a cardiac arrest late Thursday and was shifted to Harley Street Clinic’s intensive care unit and placed on a ventilator (Life support machine).
According to hospital sources, doctors were making all their efforts by providing Begum Kulsoom Nawaz best medical treatment and greatest remedy.
On Wednesday a larger number of political workers belonging to different political parties on Pakistan in UK including PML-N, PPP and PTI came to The Harley Clinic and prayed for the early recovery of the health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
