Riyadh, Oct 28 (SPA/APP): Minister of Education and Chairman of the Council of King Saud University (KSU) Affairs Yousef Al-Benyan received President and Chief Investment Officer of Alphabet and Google Ruth Porat as part of Google’s AI Opportunity Initiative in the Middle East and North Africa.
During the meeting, Google.org announced a grant to train 100 male and female KSU students in essential cybersecurity skills. The initiative aims to support training programs, which will prepare national talents to protect 125 local community organizations from cyber threats, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Virtual Routes.
Porat emphasized Google’s commitment to advancing knowledge of artificial intelligence in partnership with academic institutions, highlighting the importance of strong collaborations in achieving this goal.
This cooperation reaffirms KSU’s role in developing national digital capabilities and aligns with the Kingdom’s vision to support innovation and modern technologies across various sectors.
