Foreign Secretary condemns Paris terrorist attack

ISLAMABAD, Nov 15 (APP): Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry Sunday while condemning the terrorists incident occurred in Paris yesterday emphasized the need for more cooperation and coordination at the global level to defeat terrorists and their mind
set.
Addressing a function organized by Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association in connection with their annual charity bazar, here at Foreign Office, the Foreign Secretary said Pakistan has come out of the crisis due to terrorism and extremism due to resilience
shown by the people of Pakistan and their leadership.
He said through cooperation and unity among the nation,
Pakistan had successfully over powered the menace of terrorism. He
especially appreciated the contribution and sacrifices of Pakistan
Army for launching a successful operation to curb the menace of
terrorism which had suffered a lot to Pakistan.
The Foreign Secretary said the leader of Pakistan deserved the
credit for evolving consensus and unity to fight the terrorists and
emphasized the need for better and effective cooperation and
coordination at global level to tackle the menace of extremism and
terrorism.
He said people and government of Pakistan strongly condemned
the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris that have resulted in the loss
of more than 100 precious lives.
The Foreign Secretary said Pakistan stands with the victims of
the terrorists attack in their hour of grief and pray for speedy
recovery of the injured.
One minute silence was also observed before the start of the
function here today at Foreign Office to express solidarity and
sympathies with those who lost their lives in the tragic incidents
in Paris.
