DPM/FM Dar, Portuguese Minister discuss regional situation

ISLAMABAD, April 06 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Portugal Paulo Rangel, Monday, discussed the evolving regional situation.
The DPM/FM spoke on phone with the Portuguese minister and emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and underscored Pakistan’s efforts aimed at achieving a lasting peace and stability in the region, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.
The Portuguese minister of state fully supported and appreciated the efforts being made by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate and promote dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace and stability.
Both leaders also appreciated the positive momentum in bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of sustained high-level exchanges and agreed to maintain close contact.
