Date for Pak-India foreign secretaries' meeting yet to be finalized: Aizaz Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD, Dec 10 (APP): Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry Thursday said that date for meeting between the foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India to work out the schedule and modalities of the Comprehensive Bilateral Dialogue was yet to be
finalized.
“I hope things would move forward in the next few weeks. But no final date (for foreign secretaries meeting) has so far been finalized,” Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry told a private television channel (Dunya TV).

He said during the visit of Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday, the two sides had agreed that the foreign secretaries of Pakistan and India will meet to finalize the schedule and modalities of the comprehensive bilateral dialogue.

To a question about the prospects of Pak-India cricket series, the Foreign Secretary said, in this respect Pakistan Cricket Board as well as other institutions concerned were in contact with their Indian counterparts.

“I hope whatever decision is taken, it will be in line with the aspirations of the people of two countries,” he added.
